Prospective members are asked to trace on an application
how they circumnavigated the globe. The route must cross
all the meridians of longitude in one direction. They
must be sponsored and seconded by members, who submit
written letters of recommendation to the Board of Governors,
which makes the final approval.
A club is only as prominent as its members, and every
effort is made to attract as prospective members those
who have made useful contributions in their fields.
The initiation fee and annual dues for members are
modest, and each new member is presented with a handsome
membership certificate.
